Joseph Woolf is a managing director of media for CarVal Investors, responsible for managing investments in media publishing. Mr. Woolf has over 20 years of banking and investing experience, the large majority of which has been in the entertainment industries. Prior to joining CarVal Investors in 2007, Mr. Woolf was a managing director of media and entertainment finance for Citigroup. He was also a principal in the entertainment media advisory group of New York-based investment bank, Gerard, Klauer, Mattison; SVP & Manager of the Entertainment Finance Division at Union Bank of California. Mr. Woolf was recruited to Union Bank from Sumitomo Bank, where he ran its Film Finance Group, providing independent film and television production financing to the major studios and independent producers. Mr. Woolf holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Boston University and an MBA in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business.
