Mr. Kunkel is a vice president with CarVal Investors. He is responsible for managing investments in commercial real estate properties in select U.S. markets. Previously, Mr. Kunkel worked in CVI's portfolio management group, focusing on acquisitions and work outs across the global real estate portfolio. He also previously managed investments in commercial loan portfolios in the U.S. and Africa. Prior to joining CVI in 2006, Mr. Kunkel was a venture capital investor with Technology Venture Partners in Boston and an investment banker for Goldman Sachs in New York. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a Finance B.S.B. with honors from the University of Minnesota. In addition, Mr. Kunkel holds CFA Charterholder and CPA designations.
