Mr. Rivas is a senior associate for CarVal Investors, responsible for managing loan portfolio and real estate investments in Mexico as part of the Latin America Value Investment group. Prior to joining CarVal Investors, Mr. Rivas worked for AT&T as a manager in their Treasury and Financial Planning department, as well as Avantel, a Mexican telecoms company, as a manager in their Capital Projects and Budget Control Department. Mr. Rivas also worked for Cargill in Mexico, serving as a controller in their Treasury, TSF, CVI and CRM business units. Mr. Rivas received his M.B.A. from IESE, Barcelona Spain, and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is fluent in English, Spanish and German.
