Michael J. Garvey is an analyst with CarVal Investors. He is responsible for the analysis of investments in residential mortgage and development portfolios. Before joining CVI in 2007, Mr. Garvey worked on merger and acquisition transactions with Piper Jaffray's investment banking group. Previously, he was part of the risk management team at Quellos. Mr. Garvey has a B.A. in computer science and economics, summa cum laude, from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a charted financial analyst (CFA).
