Mr. Buchet is a director for CarVal Investors. Based in Paris, Mr. Buchet is responsible for managing investments in credit-intensive loan portfolios in France and Italy and in service residence development in France. Prior to joining Cargill in 1997, Mr. Buchet was a vice president at UIC-SOFAL, a commercial and real estate bank based in Paris. He was previously associated with Financière Indosuez, a Paris-based investment bank, and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.’s Mergers and Acquisitions group in New York. Fluent in English, French and Italian, Mr. Buchet received a Certificate in Law from Université Catholique de Paris and an MBA from ESSEC, Paris.
