Mr. Hawkins is an associate with CarVal Investors, responsible for managing investments in North American corporate securities, focusing on the gaming/lodging, REITs, financial, and retail sectors. Prior to joining CVI in 2008, Mr. Hawkins worked at Semaphore Capital Management, where he focused on distressed corporate investments, primarily in the equity markets. He also worked for J.P. Morgan as a sell-side research analyst covering high-grade, high-yield, and distressed REITs, railroads and airlines/EETCs. Mr. Hawkins received his MBA with a specialization in finance from The Wharton School of Business, his Master’s of Accountancy from Brigham Young University, and his B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University where he graduated cum laude. Mr. Hawkins is fluent in Korean.
