Mr. Midness is an associate of financing and liquidity with CarVal Investors. He is responsible for managing relationships with counterparties providing debt and other financial leverage to CarVal Investors' funds. Mr. Midness joined CarVal Investors in January 2008. Previously, he was an investment banker in the financial institutions group at Piper Jaffray & Co. and a partner in the financial institutions group at the law firm of Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. Mr. Midness received an M.B.A. with highest honors from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, a J.D. summa cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law where he was a member of and author for the Law Review, and a B.A. magna cum laude from St. Olaf College in Economics and German.
